My vision for MP3tunes is
that your music library will play at every electronic location in your
life. You won't have to remember to lug your music around -- instead
your Music Locker
will automatically be wherever you are. That's a big
vision and MP3tunes can't do this alone so we sponsored a $10,000
contest
asking developers to help us get your music to every device or service.
Below we're announcing the first half of the contest winners. While the
developers win the cash prizes, music fans win too because now you have
more places than ever to listen to your MP3tunes Music Locker.

Thanks
to our creative developer community you can play your music on more
machines and more places than any locker system in the world. Sony has
a music store called Connect but your purchases won't play on the Sony
Playstation consoles. Microsoft sells songs in their Zune store which
won't work with their own Windows Mobile devices. But your MP3tunes Music Locker
works on those devices and potentially every device in the
world. This is the power of using a standard audio format (MP3) and
publishing an open API
which
we invite every developer to use. I hope you will try out some of
these great new ways to listen to your music from your Locker.
