I grew up not knowing my biological father. In my mid-30s I decided to investigate and track him down. A few weeks into the process an envelope appeared containing a letter and a VHS cassette. The letter expressed remorse and the tape was a montage of amazing tricks by his dog Zeke.
Zeke caught footballs, dribbled a basketball, dunked a basketball, played golf and much more. This remarkable dog has been on David Letterman's Stupid Pet Tricks 7 times, debuting a new trick each time. One time he bit David, a clip Letterman often replays.
The next day I played the tape for my kids. I then boarded a plane to Japan and, much to my surprise, there was my newly discovered father with Zeke performing one of his stunts on the in-flight TV. I call Zeke the smartest dog because I've never seen another dog with such a wide-ranging repertoire of tricks. He clearly understands the goal of each task.
