I envy Pandora. 50 million people have tried their service. While MP3tunes is a different business — personal music lockers — there's much to learn. Here are improvements we're making based on emulating Pandora.
Faster TTM (Time to Music): When you visit Pandora it immediately starts blasting songs. Now when you visit the MP3tunes web player, music starts playing immediately. Infinite Playlist: The music never stops — when the last song in your selection ends, similar tracks are identified and automatically start playing. Recommendations: Whenever a song is playing, a section of the screen displays recommended tracks.
With these changes, MP3tunes is now more of a 'lean back' experience — like TV where you lean back and let it go. But you can grab the wheel anytime and skip forward, create playlists, or select specific songs.
