The World's First Internet Boombox

The Logitech Squeezebox radio is a solid music player with high quality display and great sound. Until now it was missing what any classic boombox had — batteries. Now available in the US is an accessory pack with a battery and remote for under $50.

Remove one screw, insert the battery, and you've turned an anchored net appliance into an internet-driven music machine. I can grab the unit using the built-in handle and move it anywhere. Using the remote I can advance or rewind songs from my chair. Battery life exceeded 8 hours in my tests.

With the MP3tunes service I don't need to leave a PC on or run special software. I install the MP3tunes app, select Shuffle mode, and get a random mix of my personal music. It's the world's first internet boombox, and I'm listening to music in lots more places.

Hunting for the X-File Ghost

AI will soon rule the world. It will decide if you paid your taxes, qualify for a mortgage, whether your kid is admitted to university, if someone is eligible for parole, if you've been naughty on social media, etc. EVERYTHING. But what happens if it's WRONG? Here's an unbelievable and ominous situation where a cybersecurity company publishes a report stating an American company was part of a Chinese cybercriminal organization. The story spread around the world. One enormous problem: the software they claim as evidence doesn't exist, but nobody bothered to research it. No news site. No security companies. Nobody. Well, I decided to research it, and here's my results.
