Obama OKs Network DVR And Hints At Music Locker

President Obama's attorney filed papers supporting an earlier court decision finding Cablevision's remote storage DVR legal. The Solicitor General also showed technology savvy, mentioning 'cloud services' and even music lockers specifically in a footnote.

Footnote 3: 'One example may be music lockering services, which permit users to upload files to a remote computer server and stream that music to a personal device over the Internet. The general development of cloud computing...may generate similar issues.'

This demonstrates a deep technical understanding of technology trends. In the first test pitting consumer interests versus media companies under Obama, the consumer emerged victorious. Let's hope future jurists examining these issues have the same understanding of cloud computing.

Hunting for the X-File Ghost

AI will soon rule the world. It will decide if you paid your taxes, qualify for a mortgage, whether your kid is admitted to university, if someone is eligible for parole, if you've been naughty on social media, etc. EVERYTHING. But what happens if it's WRONG? Here's an unbelievable and ominous situation where a cybersecurity company publishes a report stating an American company was part of a Chinese cybercriminal organization. The story spread around the world. One enormous problem: the software they claim as evidence doesn't exist, but nobody bothered to research it. No news site. No security companies. Nobody. Well, I decided to research it, and here's my results.
