The American Idol Winner Is....

American Idol is once again the #1 TV show in the US and the competition is down to Adam Lambert and Kris Allen. Fan campaigns encouraged using Gizmo5 software and GizmoCall to vote by calling the 800 number for each contestant.

By tallying votes submitted to these numbers we can project who garnered more votes. Mac, Windows, and Linux users all slightly preferred Adam Lambert. However examining only US votes shows a preference for Kris Allen. The data suggests Kris wins American Idol and Adam wins Global Idol.

Votes were registered from more than 45 non-US countries, with Philippines, Singapore, UK, China and Finland as the most popular. Non-US votes outnumbered US votes 2-1.

Hunting for the X-File Ghost

AI will soon rule the world. It will decide if you paid your taxes, qualify for a mortgage, whether your kid is admitted to university, if someone is eligible for parole, if you've been naughty on social media, etc. EVERYTHING. But what happens if it's WRONG? Here's an unbelievable and ominous situation where a cybersecurity company publishes a report stating an American company was part of a Chinese cybercriminal organization. The story spread around the world. One enormous problem: the software they claim as evidence doesn't exist, but nobody bothered to research it. No news site. No security companies. Nobody. Well, I decided to research it, and here's my results.
