Better Than a Pair of Old Gym Shoes

I just bought new basketball shoes. It wasn't until I strapped on the new ones that I appreciated how improved they were. I think that's the case with Microsoft products — while familiarity feels comfortable, sometimes there are deficiencies you forget about.

I switched from Windows 2000 to LindowsOS at New Year's. Five benefits I've experienced: 1) Permanent access — every LindowsOS buyer has their copy in their my.lindows account forever. 2) Digital download — buy and be running in minutes, no driving to stores. 3) More stable — I went an entire week without a single hang or restart. I had 30+ browser windows open at once. 4) One-click software installation via Click-N-Run — no restarts, no serial numbers. 5) Friendlier licensing — install on multiple computers for your personal use.

Hunting for the X-File Ghost

AI will soon rule the world. It will decide if you paid your taxes, qualify for a mortgage, whether your kid is admitted to university, if someone is eligible for parole, if you've been naughty on social media, etc. EVERYTHING. But what happens if it's WRONG? Here's an unbelievable and ominous situation where a cybersecurity company publishes a report stating an American company was part of a Chinese cybercriminal organization. The story spread around the world. One enormous problem: the software they claim as evidence doesn't exist, but nobody bothered to research it. No news site. No security companies. Nobody. Well, I decided to research it, and here's my results.
