Sun, Work, Fun

LindowsOS Version 3.0 will become available in a few weeks. Our emphasis on ease-of-use and affordability will make LindowsOS the first practical, mass-market operating system available.

The Desktop Linux Summit is scheduled for February 20-21, 2003 in San Diego. Companies such as HP, Lycoris, MandrakeSoft, Sun Microsystems, SuSE, and Ximian have all announced their support. Sun has even signed on as a platinum sponsor.

Life isn't only about work. Doom — the classic first-person shooter — is now in the Click-N-Run Warehouse. Before Click-N-Run, it was virtually impossible for a Linux user to install this game. Also new: Century Solitaire (100+ solitaire games) and Tux Racer Deluxe — free to Warehouse members.

Hunting for the X-File Ghost

AI will soon rule the world. It will decide if you paid your taxes, qualify for a mortgage, whether your kid is admitted to university, if someone is eligible for parole, if you've been naughty on social media, etc. EVERYTHING. But what happens if it's WRONG? Here's an unbelievable and ominous situation where a cybersecurity company publishes a report stating an American company was part of a Chinese cybercriminal organization. The story spread around the world. One enormous problem: the software they claim as evidence doesn't exist, but nobody bothered to research it. No news site. No security companies. Nobody. Well, I decided to research it, and here's my results.
