Sneak Peak

There will be several new products announced at the Desktop Linux Summit that will propel desktop Linux adoption faster and further. One is a totally new type of PC product that will make desktop Linux ideal for the home. Half of computers sold to consumers are laptops but today there are no Linux laptops commonly available — next week you will see an advancement that will double the opportunity for Linux on the desktop.

Companies showing at the Summit: TransGaming (Warcraft III, GTA3, The Sims on Linux), GarageGames (3D games), Voodoo PC (high-end gaming rig). Epson is showing printers that work well with Linux. Ricochet is showing their high-speed wireless modem. Every exhibit space at the summit is completely sold out.
