Guest Starring Glen Kowalchuk

Glen Kowalchuk did a presentation of LindowsOS v3.1 at the CECM (Computer Education Coordinators of Manitoba) meeting and it was a hit. Two audience volunteers raced to install Lindows vs. Windows: who would be first to surf the net, send email and print to a network printer?

15 minutes later, Lindows was surfing the net and browsing for the network printer (including 5 minutes to watch the overview demo). 'The presentation was such a hit they asked if I could do an encore presentation at the next provincial meeting.' The next presentation will focus on integrating Lindows into a school network with Windows servers.

For anyone who hasn't seen LindowsOS up close and personal, we've made a fantastic free demo at lindows.com/demo. It works on any computer including Windows computers and won't change anything on your existing system.

Hunting for the X-File Ghost

AI will soon rule the world. It will decide if you paid your taxes, qualify for a mortgage, whether your kid is admitted to university, if someone is eligible for parole, if you've been naughty on social media, etc. EVERYTHING. But what happens if it's WRONG? Here's an unbelievable and ominous situation where a cybersecurity company publishes a report stating an American company was part of a Chinese cybercriminal organization. The story spread around the world. One enormous problem: the software they claim as evidence doesn't exist, but nobody bothered to research it. No news site. No security companies. Nobody. Well, I decided to research it, and here's my results.
