Microsoft Is Right (Until Next Tuesday)

Microsoft correctly identified the last major hurdle blocking massive Linux adoption: installing and maintaining desktop Linux is much more difficult than Windows. That does raise the effective cost. Next Tuesday, with version 4.0, desktop Linux takes a giant leap forward and overcomes Microsoft's biggest remaining criticism.

LindowsOS 4.0 introduces 4 industry firsts: 1) One-click configuration — install copies of all programs from an old computer onto a new one instantly. 2) One-click operating system install — the first time major OS upgrades can be done completely digitally with just one click. 3) One-click software install with success rates in the high 90s. 4) One-click software upgrading — LindowsOS tracks installed programs and updates them automatically.

Next Tuesday will be a new era when Linux is easier to use and lower in cost to maintain than any other software.

Hunting for the X-File Ghost

AI will soon rule the world. It will decide if you paid your taxes, qualify for a mortgage, whether your kid is admitted to university, if someone is eligible for parole, if you've been naughty on social media, etc. EVERYTHING. But what happens if it's WRONG? Here's an unbelievable and ominous situation where a cybersecurity company publishes a report stating an American company was part of a Chinese cybercriminal organization. The story spread around the world. One enormous problem: the software they claim as evidence doesn't exist, but nobody bothered to research it. No news site. No security companies. Nobody. Well, I decided to research it, and here's my results.
