New & Improved Linux - 40% Better

Laptops are now the fastest growing sector of the PC business with more than 30 million sold last year. Until now, shortcomings in Linux — primarily power management — made it a poor choice for laptops. When you close a laptop's lid, you expect it to sleep, then wake up where you left off.

I traveled to Taipei to meet with leading laptop manufacturers. Since that time we've been working closely with many on next-generation value-priced laptops. LindowsOS Laptop Edition provides basic power management and supports internal WiFi cards.

The first machines running LindowsOS Laptop Edition are available immediately in more than 50 PC Club stores, starting at just $899. This is vital because it challenges Microsoft in the last PC sector where they've faced no competition — laptops. LindowsOS LE is available to system builders for less than a tenth of the cost of Windows XP.

Hunting for the X-File Ghost

AI will soon rule the world. It will decide if you paid your taxes, qualify for a mortgage, whether your kid is admitted to university, if someone is eligible for parole, if you've been naughty on social media, etc. EVERYTHING. But what happens if it's WRONG? Here's an unbelievable and ominous situation where a cybersecurity company publishes a report stating an American company was part of a Chinese cybercriminal organization. The story spread around the world. One enormous problem: the software they claim as evidence doesn't exist, but nobody bothered to research it. No news site. No security companies. Nobody. Well, I decided to research it, and here's my results.
