Our Sneak Preview is no longer vaporware

LindowsOS was labeled 'vaporware' — a designation reserved for products that people talk about yet don't exist. All of that changed last week with the release of our Sneak Preview to a small group of Insiders.

Key features even in this early version: 1) Easy installation — 'My grandma would have been able to do it.' For Windows 98 users, a 'Friendly Install' lets you experiment alongside Windows and switch back and forth. No complex formatting, partitioning or backup required. 2) Migration of important data — bookmarks, icons and email are moved and converted automatically. 3) Run Windows-based programs — Office 2000 apps work great. Some programs work well, others not at all. We're focusing on productivity applications.

LindowsOS is not ready for use as your everyday desktop, but hopefully Sneak Preview demonstrates that we've shaken the vaporware label.

Hunting for the X-File Ghost

AI will soon rule the world. It will decide if you paid your taxes, qualify for a mortgage, whether your kid is admitted to university, if someone is eligible for parole, if you've been naughty on social media, etc. EVERYTHING. But what happens if it's WRONG? Here's an unbelievable and ominous situation where a cybersecurity company publishes a report stating an American company was part of a Chinese cybercriminal organization. The story spread around the world. One enormous problem: the software they claim as evidence doesn't exist, but nobody bothered to research it. No news site. No security companies. Nobody. Well, I decided to research it, and here's my results.
