A Million Windows?

Microsoft is in court claiming that multiple versions of an operating system is technically impossible or economically impractical. Ironically, Lindows.com is doing what Microsoft says it cannot do.

With cheaper computers, homes can buy multiple machines — one for each member of the family or different rooms. Each of these will have a much narrower list of duties than the all-in-one PCs of the past. A computer for a 10-year-old may only need chat and email. A computer for a security guard only needs a couple of business programs.

LindowsOS comes with a minimal configuration but can be easily supplemented with additional software. We envision homework windows, teenager windows, preschool windows, receptionist windows — yes, a world with a million versions of windows. That's what Lindows.com is bringing to the marketplace and exactly what is needed to energize the next wave of computing.

Hunting for the X-File Ghost

AI will soon rule the world. It will decide if you paid your taxes, qualify for a mortgage, whether your kid is admitted to university, if someone is eligible for parole, if you've been naughty on social media, etc. EVERYTHING. But what happens if it's WRONG? Here's an unbelievable and ominous situation where a cybersecurity company publishes a report stating an American company was part of a Chinese cybercriminal organization. The story spread around the world. One enormous problem: the software they claim as evidence doesn't exist, but nobody bothered to research it. No news site. No security companies. Nobody. Well, I decided to research it, and here's my results.
